In order to reduce overhaul costs, state-overhaul of wind turbines was proposed, which includes data collection, on-line monitoring, fault diagnosis, fault prediction, decision-making and implementation of state-overhaul. Two state-overhaul models of wind turbines were presented. One was the fault-diagnosis overhaul based on signals’ analysis and feature extraction of state-monitor of wind turbines. The other was the intelligent fault-diagnosis and decision-making based on state-monitor and expert system of wind turbines.
