Research Progress of Carbon Dioxide Resource Utilization
The climate and environmental problems caused by a large amount of greenhouse gas emissions, such as rising temperatures, melting glaciers, and extreme weather, are becoming increasingly serious. Investigation on the capture and resource utilization of carbon dioxide under the background of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" is an effective way to improve the ecological environment, optimize energy structure, promote domestic industrial upgrading, and build a green circular economy. In this study, the current research progress of carbon dioxide resource utilization was summarized from the perspectives of physical, chemical, and biological utilization, and the advantages and disadvantages of main resource conversion technologies were also analyzed. The technical characteristics and influencing mechanism of hydrogenation catalysis, chemical looping cracking, and photocatalytic resource conversion for carbon dioxide utilization were discussed in detail, and the reaction mechanisms of catalysts in different systems were summarized. Finally, the resource utilization method of carbon dioxide with application prospect was proposed.
