Abstract

Graphene films with low sheet resistance and high transparency in the visible light range are promising to be used as electrodes for polymer solar cell (PSC). In this work, the graphene with antireflection coatings is used as anode reported for PSCs. Reflectivity loss of the polymer solar cell is analyzed from the light absorption calculation for the devices with graphene-based anode electrode by applying the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The results indicate better optical coupling efficiency for the graphene-based electrode by optimizing the structure of graphene-based anode. Therefore, the single-layer of NiO antireflection coated graphene is recommended as a good alternative to replace ITO in OSCs.
