Abstract

Microalgae is a promising feedstock for biodiesel production. Cultivation of microalgae is a key step in the process of producing biodiesel using microalgae as raw material. Research progress on cultivation methods of microalgae is discussed. Phototrophic cultivation, heterotrophic cultivation and mixotrophic cultivation are compared. Suggestions about cultivation of microalgae are proposed in this article.
