Research Progress on Permeability of Natural Gas Hydrate Sediments
Natural gas hydrate (NGH) is an environmentally friendly, efficient and huge reserves resource with great potential. The permeability of NGH reservoir is one of the key factors that determine the gas product efficiency of recovery. At present, a large number of studies on permeability of NGH reservoirs have been conducted. In this paper, the permeability research methods from the aspects of numerical simulation, field test, and experimental research were summarized. The effects of porosity, saturation, stress and strain on reservoir permeability were analyzed. The challenge faced by the research on NGH reservoir, such as the differences between artificial NGH sediments with natural reservoirs, different porous media with different stress sensitivity, insufficient research on multi-phase flow, and insufficient research on reservoir permeability reformation, were also discussed. The future research direction was finally prospected.
